Domain statistics are handled more intelligently, more installation methods are available, and application files have a new default location.

Domain mapping

When importing logs for the first time, this is now stated in terminal output (instead of a default date)Domains belonging to email recipients which belong to the same network together are now grouped together. For example gmail.com and googlemail.com are now grouped as ‘Google’. By default, 482 domains are mapped to 12 groups:

  • 1&1
  • Aol
  • Apple
  • Earthlink
  • Google
  • Mail.ru
  • Microsoft
  • Onet
  • United Online
  • Yahoo
  • Yandex
  • Yeah.com

Changes

  • Binary for Linux amd64 added to downloadable release assets ((now part of automated release process)
  • Docker image published on Docker Hub (now part of automated release process)
  • The default workspace path has changed to /var/log/lightmeter_workspace (this can still be overridden using -workspace)
  • Domain grouping is now case insensitive
  • When importing logs for the first time, this is now stated in terminal output (instead of a default date)
  • Fix ‘500 server error’ on attempting registration without a dropdown menu item selected
