Critical news affecting global mail deliverability now appears as “News Insights“, together with new Lightmeter release announcements, and the analysis of log data is significantly more efficient.
13 Merge requests and 149 commits went into this release. Check the Roadmap to see what features are coming next.
This release contains three improvements requested by first-time contributors. Thank you! Your feedback drives decisions – message or speak with us – we’re listening.
Note that Lightmeter is still in early development and intended for small scale deployments. Known issues are documented in README.md.
Sometimes external events affect the global mail network and your mailservers’ deliverability. Recent examples are Spamcop causing millions of servers to spontaneously reject all mail when their domain expired, and Gmail’s extended hard bouncing of valid mailboxes.
Reacting quickly in these cases is critical to minimizing disruption, which is why Lightmeter now creates occasional “News Insights” with information about such disruption, and generates optional notifications via enabled channels. New Lightmeter releases will also be communicated this way.
